Week 29 ... one day late!

How far along? 29 weeks, 6 days (pretend I posted this last night so this is true)

Total weight gain/measurements: 28 lbs. I seriously have zero control over my weight. I gained 7 lbs in two weeks. I cried about it.

Maternity clothes: Mike told me we could get a wholesale discount on Nike and my first question was "does Nike make maternity clothes?!" He got irritated.

Sleep: Still love sleep. After "sleeping in" till 7 every day this week on vacation, waking up at 5:30 am this morning was BRUTAL. Also, I have yet to take a nap this week, which is depressing, but we have been so busy!

Best moment this week: It was such a good week! We went to Florida! Trisha got married! We got to move our flight back a day because of Tropical Storm Bill! We spent some time with Mike's Aunt Nancy and family! I overcame (somewhat) my fear of the beach! And I had a doctor's appointment today, which confirmed Evelyn is still alive. (FYI there was no doubt except in my anxiety-ridden mind.)

Miss anything? I HAD A VIRGIN STRAWBERRY DAQUIRI ON THE BEACH AND THAT WAS SO FREAKING LEGIT. It totally made me feel better about not having a mango margarita for nearly 8 months now.

Movement: Lots of movement and it's starting to hurt when she's purposeful about it. My summer school kids (and Mike) are used to me randomly saying OW! and looking at my stomach all offended. OBV she's doing it on purpose.

Food cravings:  Fruit. Mike just took me to the store so I could get mangos, strawberries, blackberries and watermelon. I would have gotten more, but he was in a hurry to get back to the US Open.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Sometimes things don't sit well, but I seem to be doing a little better. I did NOT get sick at birth class last week, and that was a first.

Gender: Baby girl.

Labour signs: Definitely had a Braxton Hicks in Walmart last week. I dramatically threw myself on top of the shopping cart and made mom run and grab me water. It was hilarious, but painful at the time.

Symptoms: Definitely having swelling, but my blood pressure is nice and low. I thought I was over being emotional, but I cried over an hour today...sustained....so.....not over that.

Belly button in or out? Closer and closer to flat!

Wedding rings on or off? Off, though my hands are significantly less swollen now that we are back in Texas.

Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy, because VACATION! But I sobbed like a baby today so still weepy.

Looking forward to: We are touring a birthing center next Tuesday, and I am very excited to see what that is like. Amanda showed me my invites for my church shower and I am SO excited for that, even though it is still a long way off. Idk, nothing exciting is happening in the next few days, really, so I guess I am looking forward to a nap tomorrow afternoon.

Week 28 and a nursery sneak peek

I bet you thought we forgot about this blog. Life got in the way. Seriously in the way.

How far along? 28 weeks, 6 days

Total weight gain/measurements: 21 lbs. After gaining that 10 lbs in a month, I was so worried about this weigh in. Luckily, I only gained 3 lbs this past month. Whew!

Maternity clothes: Bought some tank tops (like the one in this picture) last week. I couldn't deal with sleeves any longer.

Stretch marks? This is depressing. I'm deleting this question. I don't even have that many, and they don't bother me when I look at them, but this question always makes me sad lol.

Sleep: Yes please. I sleep all night, then I take two hour naps after summer school. It's AWESOME. Apparently last night Mike played some music for Evelyn but I slept through all of it. This third trimester thing is no joke.

Best moment this week: It's been so long...so many good moments. We got to see Evelyn last week at our doctor's appointment. She looks like a real baby! We could see her lips! It was adorable. Also, she's been moving a lot and that always makes me happy.

Miss anything? I still really want a mango margarita. :( :( :( And to not feel like a stranded turtle. But otherwise, no. I even sometimes like the turtle thing. ;)

Movement: She was moving so much yesterday I didn't even bother with kick counts because I couldn't have kept up. Some days are lazier than that, but right now I think she's enjoying the ice cream we ate after dinner because it's a kick fest up in there.

Food cravings:  Tonight, meat. I ate part of Mike's slim jim and was like I NEED MORE but instead we got ice cream. Idk. I still really like tacos too.

Anything making you queasy or sick? I get so sick to my stomach every week at birth class. I don't know why. I'm hoping that now that school is out, I won't be quite so worn down and I will start feeling better on Friday nights.

Gender: Baby girl.

Labour signs: I am pretty sure I had my first Braxton Hicks the other day. I drank some water and walked around, and it went away. Who knows!

Symptoms: My feet are starting to swell. :( I had a hard time taking off my shoes today and they're the shoes I need for Trisha's wedding, so I need them to fit for five more days!!!

Belly button in or out? Looks and feels like the tied end of a balloon, but still in.

Wedding rings on or off? Still on, though they're a little tight too.

Happy or moody most of the time: I've been a lot less weepy. I think because I'm too busy sleeping to cry. I would probably say I've been happier, mostly because school is out!!

Looking forward to: Our Babymoon starts on Sunday!!! We will be traveling to Destin, FL for Trisha's wedding. Conveniently, it will be our last trip - especially long distance - before Miss E comes...and probably for a while afterward too. We'll be there Sunday to Tuesday and I am so looking forward to the sun and the beach...and I don't even normally like the beach!

Also: FYI, this title is total click bait. The only sneak peek I have is this...

It looks a little less salmon-y in person, but it's paint! I don't have a roller brush, so the fact that I painted this much should impress you. So excited to have a little girl so I can have pink walls! Is that shallow?

To make up for the click bait, here's a picture of Evelyn Grace. Look at that nose! Her lips! Adorable!
