20/21 Weeks

How far along? 21 weeks, 5 days - going on vacation totally threw off my blogging game. Now that we are home again on Sundays I will hopefully get back on track!

Total weight gain/measurements: 12 lbs. as of my last appt but I feel like that's probably not true. I ate SOOO much good food on vacation and I had to have gained weight from that.

Maternity clothes: Still maternity shorts and lularoe, all day every day!

Sleep: Still waking up around 2 am for a bathroom break. I've been doing better about going right back to sleep compared to when we were on vacation.

Best moment this week: On Friday, Sarah took me and mom out to celebrate my birthday! We got fancy pedicures, ate a delicious Italian dinner, and painted signs at Board and Brush. Then on Saturday, Mike, Evelyn and I basically spent all day in our pjs until we went to the pool at 5 pm. It was awesome.

Miss anything? Sometimes I get sad about margaritas, but for the most part I don't really feel like I'm missing out.

Movement: He's been getting a little more active, which is nice. He's still pretty chill compared to Evelyn, but honestly, it's hard to compare because I keep comparing end of pregnancy Evelyn to middle of pregnancy baby boy.

Food cravings: None really. Wait, jk. The other night I was super craving a sugar cookie double doozie from the mall. I guess I've been craving sweets, which is weird because I never did with Evelyn. In fact, I swore them off. Who knows!

Anything making you queasy or sick? I threw up the other night at 2 am, I think because I took my prenatals in the middle of the night on an empty stomach. Ugh.

Gender: Baby boy

Labor signs: No!

Symptoms: Heartburn ALL THE DAMN TIME. WHYYYYYY???? I hate it! I've never really had heartburn in my life and now it's an every day occurrence. UGH. Itchy hands, still. Still throwing up, obviously. And omg I am so tired y'all...literally can't get enough rest. I take two hour naps every day, I sleep about 8-9 hours every night...it's ridiculous how tired I am. Where is my second trimester energy?!

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Off.

Happy or moody most of the time: So moody and weepy. Everything makes me angry and everything makes me cry. I came home after my birthday celebration and sobbed for 20 minutes. I think I scared Mike. I am just a wreck.

Looking forward to: we have a pretty chill week coming up...got some LuLaRoe business to take care of, but nothing too exciting. Next baby appt is Aug 15th! Yay!

18/19 weeks It's a BOY!

Fun Fact: I also forgot to blog 18 weeks when I was pregnant with Evelyn HAHA

How far along? 19 weeks, 6 days

Total weight gain/measurements: 12 lbs. Guys, I feel like I'm doing so much better this time around. I'd already gained 20 lbs with Evelyn. Thanks, Fit4Mom!

Maternity clothes: Still maternity shorts and lularoe, all day every day!

Sleep: I wake up every night at 2 am. Last night I actually went back to sleep pretty quickly, but lately I've been up for at least an hour.

Best moment this week: Definitely getting away from Texas heat and escaping to Colorado. I have zero desire to get back home. We celebrated my 30th birthday too!

Miss anything? Nothing really?

Movement: Movements are FINALLY more obvious, which brings on the "is he moving enough" anxiety. I'm a mess, y'all. I wait desperately for these kicks, then worry that there's not enough kicking...it's an endless cycle until baby is here in my arms.

Food cravings: Still salads and fruit.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Snot (lol), eating cake for dinner

Gender: Baby boy

Labor signs: Had some braxton hicks yesterday.

Symptoms: So, my eczema finally got better. Then we went on vacation and I ate pizza with double cheese on the crust and then cheese on top of that and my body was NOT HAPPY. But it was worth it. And I will eat those leftovers. Some nausea still, and heartburn! omg I never had heartburn with Evelyn so this is super annoying, but baby boy is sitting so much higher than she did.

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Off.

Happy or moody most of the time: I've been happy, but I think that's because of vacation. Still pretty emotional. I cry at the drop of a hat.

Looking forward to: we are going on a train ride today! Sarah's wedding is Friday woohoo!!

19 weeks with Evelyn and 18 weeks with baby boy. Look at how high baby is!

Week 17

How far along? 17 weeks, 5 days

Total weight gain/measurements: 6 lbs? I only weigh myself at dr's appts so who knows.

Maternity clothes: Mostly just shorts. Most of my LuLaRoe fits and is still so comfortable. I love how it works with all stages of pregnancy and postpartum!

Sleep: Evelyn hasn't been sleeping well, so neither have I. Twice the past two nights we've had to get her around 5:30 or 6 am because she was fussing all night in her sleep. She calms down as soon as she's in bed with us. I'm not sure what's going on with her!

Best moment this week: I had so much fun hosting Ellen's baby shower with Sarah! Mike cleaned the whole house and that made me feel all nice and nesty. (I never nested with Evelyn and I doubt I will with this baby either, but I like when other people clean for me HAHA)

Miss anything? Nothing really?

Movement: Teeny tiny movements sometimes. I didn't feel Evelyn until about 19 weeks and she was much bigger. I kind of wish I didn't already feel this baby because I don't like how inconsistent little bitty baby kicks are! I much prefer the obvious movements that come later in pregnancy.

Food cravings: I let myself have some cheese and cinnamon rolls this week and it was everything I dreamed it would be. I've also been craving salads, especially the salad bar at Jason's Deli.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Going without water (I'm terrible at hydration) or eating for too long.

Gender: I vote girl. Mike votes boy.

Labor signs: No, because that would be terrifying.

Symptoms: Eczema is still terrible. I have given up on it. Hence the cheese. I'm still really tired...all this rain isn't helping! Some nausea, but better than last week!

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Off.

Happy or moody most of the time: Moody and emotional. I was having a really good day the other day and mom came over and complained about my house and I was SO MAD because she ruined my good mood and I'm never in a good mood. HAHA. I got over it.

Looking forward to: Tuesday is dress like a cow day at Chick Fil A! Only two weeks till our anatomy scan and gender reveal party!!!!

Week 16

How far along? 16 weeks, 6 days

Total weight gain/measurements: 6 lbs.

Maternity clothes: Loooove them. I say this all the time, but I don't understand why people don't just dive into maternity clothes when they're pregnant. They're seriously missing out.

Sleep: Last night was rough, but I went to the chiropractor this morning and my shoulder was allllll kinds of out of wack so that's probably why I couldn't sleep. I am looking forward to a better night tonight.

Best moment this week: Going to the chiropractor today was the best pregnancy related thing that happened to me. I wish I had gone more often with Evelyn. (I only went once, the day before I went into labor lol) Non-(our)baby related, I got to cuddle with baby Helen!

Miss anything? Cheese. Milkshakes.

Movement: Teeny tiny movements every so often.

Food cravings:  Cheese. Watermelon and blackberries. Cinnamon rolls with LOTS of icing, the kind from the grocery store. I've been to two different grocery stores trying to find this and I have had zero luck. It's making me really cranky.

Anything making you queasy or sick? I got sick twice last week. Whyyyyyy?

Gender: Evelyn still votes for goat.

Labor signs: No, because that would be terrifying.

Symptoms: I am really struggling with staying awake. I still have to take a nap every day, which is weird to me. I guess that's pregnancy while dealing with toddlers. The nausea has been okay the past few days, but still struggling. I'm about to give up on my eczema ever getting better.

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Off.

Happy or moody most of the time: The other day I texted Mike going absolutely nuts about something someone posted in our neighborhood facebook page. After screaming and yelling (via text), I calmly asked him to remind me of this when I ask him if I was happy or moody this week. He's asleep, so I had to remember this all on my own.

Looking forward to: Tomorrow is the fourth of July? I don't really care for this holiday, but that's cool. We're hosting Ellen's baby shower on Saturday, so I am really excited for that!! Her baby girl will be here so soon!!

Week 15 ... probably not having a baby goat

How far along? 15 weeks, 6 days

Total weight gain/measurements: 6 lbs.

Maternity clothes: Loooove my maternity shorts. Haven't ventured into maternity tops yet.

Sleep: Sleep hasn't been too bad, actually! Evelyn is even sleeping in her own bed all night long! I never thought I'd see the day.

Best moment this week: We got to see the baby today. Baby had their hand up by their mouth. Sweeeeet.

Miss anything? Margaritas. CHEESE. My hands are all broken out and I haven't even eaten cheese in over a week so I'm pretty much about to give up on this dairy free diet and just eat all the cheese ever!!!!!

Movement: Still feeling little bitty flutters every so often. Nothing consistent, obviously, but still something!

Food cravings:  Fruit and cool blue gatorade. Cheese.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Still just having random nausea. I need to eat more consistently. That always helps!

Gender: So Lissa said she was 80% certain she knew what the gender was, but she wouldn't tell us UGH. I am voting girl, Mike is voting boy. Evelyn votes for a goat. Please, God, don't let this baby be a goat.

Labour signs: Having some braxton hicks after I was too busy this weekend. I need to remember to take is slow!

Symptoms: Today I am very tired. My hands are in super terrible eczema mode. Some nausea, but that's getting better. Feeling very large and in charge.

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Off. I feel like my eczema would be even worse with them on!

Happy or moody most of the time: Mike says moody. I would probably have to agree with him.

Looking forward to: Lissa let us move our anatomy scan to 19 weeks from 21 and I am SO EXCITED!!!!! I'm so ready to find out the gender! Really nothing exciting happening this week... oh well!

Week 14 ... here we go again!

How far along? 14 weeks, 5 days

Total weight gain/measurements: 3 lbs, but we'll see for real when we go back on Wednesday.

Maternity clothes: It's either maternity shorts or LuLaRoe. I started wearing maternity shorts sooo early this time around. I'm giant compared to my pregnancy with Evelyn hahaha.

Sleep: Last night was AWESOME. I woke up twice - once in a panic thinking Mike was locked out of the house - but I went back to sleep immediately both times. I've had some rough pregnancy insomnia this time around.

Best moment this week: We spent lots of time in the water this week. Evelyn is such a water baby and nothing feels better than water and pregnancy!

Miss anything? Margaritas. We went to Mi Cocina with the Reeds the other day and I made Sarah peruse the margarita menu there. The food is sub-par, but the margaritas sound AMAZING.

Movement: I'm pretty sure I can feel the baby moving. Not all the time, mostly only when I lay down on my tummy to sleep. But, I'm not 100% certain its really the baby. Who knows!

Food cravings:  Mashed potatoes from chicken express and watermelon.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Existing. No, it's better than that, finally. I've been really congested and that's not fun. Also, I have to eat and drink water consistently or I'm a mess.

Gender: We have to wait till 20 weeks like the rest of humanity. UGH worst wait ever.

Labour signs: No, thank goodness!

Symptoms: I'm still so tired, still have some nausea, lots of round ligament pain. My eczema is out of control.

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? I haven't worn either since the end of my pregnancy with Evelyn. My fingers never shrunk. Go figure.

Happy or moody most of the time: Soooo moody. I am a cranky pregnant lady. Also, I sobbed through church today. Idk what Compass was thinking showing the movie Lion. It was terribly depressing and I wound up leaving so I could go cuddle with Evelyn because I couldn't hang.

Looking forward to: Our first second trimester appointment is Wednesday!! Also, I have a desperately needed haircut on Wednesday. What an exciting day!! Andddd on Saturday I have my first vendor event with LuLaRoe. It's from 10-6, so we'll see if I make it the whole time. That's a LONG time to be on your feet when pregnant. Anyone have any shoes to recommend? None of mine are supportive.

10 months old

Height: 29 inches (.5 in growth)

Weight: 17 lbs 9 oz (2 oz gain)

Diaper size: Still cloth diapers and a size 3 in disposables!

Clothing size: she was still in 6-9, 6-12, and 9 month clothes. SO BORING.

Nicknames: Miss E, Miss Priss, Baby girl, mama

Sleep: she wakes up with me at 7 am, naps on the way to and from fit4mom (20-30 minute naps), and takes a long nap around 2 pm. Then she goes to bed at 8 pm typically. She did get better about sleeping through the night, which I was so worried she wouldn't last month!

Medical issues: STILL no teeth!! She chews on her hands and her teethers all the time, but nothing! Other than that, she really hasn't had any medical issues this month!

Diet: Evelyn is still mainly breastfed, and still loves her solids. She loves nursing and eating! Such a healthy girl.

Milestones: Evelyn is still mostly crawling, but she has started to try and inch around on furniture. I put her up to a walker and she took a couple steps and when WHOOPS, she fell backwards. There's a really funny video of this. She learned to clap along to music or patty cake, but she still likes clapping my hands for patty cake the best. Also, she learned to turn the pages in her books by herself, so now she reads to herself all the time!

Likes: Peek-a-boo, giving and getting kisses, moving ALL the time, chewing on things, naps, cuddles, spoons, swinging, hiding under blankets, being tickled, BUBBLES, being SCARED, playing with friends

Dislikes: being woken up before she's ready, being hungry, mommy not feeding her fast enough, mommy not getting ready for bed fast enough, the doctor, shots, mommy leaving the room, people eating in front of her, short naps, mommy tutoring

Firsts: Evelyn went to her first golf tournament! It was not fun for any of us. Evelyn wanted to crawl down the hill and steal people's beer and it was humid and muggy and just miserable. About halfway through, I got up with her, stuck her in the Tula and nursed her to sleep. We were standing on 18 and it was MUCH cooler and calmer there. We learned our lesson and did not take her to the colonial when it was time!

We went to the water gardens for the first time with some friends! This all happened because we were supposed to get on the TRE at 10:45 but we all got lost and the train left us. So we went to the water gardens. Then got on the next train and went to the Dallas fair park children's aquarium. It is so lame; don't go.

We took E swimming for the first time! The water was so cold so we didn't stay very long. Poor baby was turning a little blue! But she really loved the water! Mom and dad finally got out of school so we got to play with them a lot! Also, E started swimming lessons. She hates floating on her back. We went to the splash pad for the first time and that was quite fun!

Last but not least, Evelyn celebrated her first Father's Day with daddy and Joe Mo. We went out to brunch at Rio Mambo, then Joe Mo and MamaD went off on vacation while Mike, Evelyn and I went to mom and dad's house to watch golf. While there, Evelyn banged her head on the ottoman and got her first goose egg!

Baby gear we love: Evelyn loves her Tula. She also now likes the stroller, after being in it lots for stroller strides. She is fascinated with bowls and spoons. Of course, we could not live without her pool floatie!!

Things To Remember: I always want to remember the way she turns and finds me in the morning, as if making sure I'm still there. The way her whole face lights up when she sees me. The way she calms down when she sees me in the mirror when she's upset in the car. I love being her whole world. I am so blessed to be her mommy. (This is from last month, but it's so true and makes my heart so happy.)

Monthly photo dump!

Visiting the Perot with our friends! Here she is dressed up as a camp ranger doing a cookout!

"Mom, did you save any for me?"

"Seriously, mom, you have a sharing problem."

Sometimes bedtime calls for the whole bottle of teething tablets. And a hat. Always a hat.

Finally on the train to the aquarium!

After surviving the day from hell to the aquarium and back. Notice even Kennedy is pretending to be asleep!!

Celebrity!

She was NOT a fan.

I love this precious little baby!

Big girl!!

Taking a nap on Joemo while MamaD and I cooked!

All the celery!!!

Trying to keep warm after her first time swimming.

Taste of Dallas selfie!

Contemplating why the pool is so darn cold!

She was terrified of this alligator when we went to the zoo with friends!

Reading to herself while momma lays down!

Poor baby got a goose egg. :(
